List of busiest terminals in US
As of my last update in January 2022, here is a list of some of the busiest terminals in the United States based on passenger traffic:
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) –
Hartsfield-Jackson consistently ranks as the busiest
airport in the world by passenger traffic, and its terminals see high volumes
of travelers. Terminal T (Domestic Terminal) and Terminal F (International
Terminal) are among the busiest within the airport.
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) –
LAX is one of the busiest
airports in the United States, and its terminals handle a significant
amount of domestic and international traffic. Terminals 4, 5, 6, 7, and Tom
Bradley International Terminal (Terminal B) are among the busiest at LAX.
O'Hare International Airport (ORD) –
Chicago's O'Hare International Airport is a major hub
in the United States, with several of its terminals experiencing high passenger
volumes. Terminals 1, 2, and 3, as well as Terminal 5 (International Terminal),
are among the busiest terminals at ORD.
Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) –
DFW is one of the largest airports in the world by
land area and serves as a major hub for domestic and international flights.
Terminals A, B, C, D, and E handle a significant portion of the airport's
passenger traffic.
Denver International Airport (DEN) –
Denver International Airport is the largest airport in
the United States by total land area and serves as a key hub for travel to and
from the western United States. Its main terminal, Jeppesen Terminal, houses
various concourses including Concourse A, B, and C, which see high passenger
volumes.
John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) –
JFK is one of the primary airports serving the New
York City metropolitan area and is a major gateway for international travel to the
United States. Terminals 1, 4, 5, 7, and 8 handle a significant amount of
passenger traffic at JFK.
San Francisco International Airport (SFO) –
SFO is a major hub for travel to and from the San
Francisco Bay Area and serves as a key gateway for international flights.
Terminals 1, 2, and 3, as well as the International Terminal (Terminal G), are
among the busiest at SFO.
McCarran International Airport (LAS) –
McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas is a
prominent hub for domestic and international travel, particularly to the
popular tourist destination. Terminals 1 and 3 handle the majority of passenger
traffic at LAS.
